I paint things the way they actually are-slightly absurd, occasionally heroic, and usually more interesting than given credit for.
My work spans from oils and acrylics, to collages and digital art, moving between portraits, landscapes, and abstracts with the commitment of someone who can never quite decide on a favorite.
Color is my first language, humor is my punctuation, and a healthy dose of satire keeps everything honest. I believe art should make you look twice-once to see whats there and appreciate the beauty, and then again to figure out the story.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I started drawing geometric shapes with chalk on my driveway when I was two years old. Thirty or so years later, I’m still happily living here with my partner and two cats, continuing to refine my craft.
I’m grateful for having some amazing education and mentors who pushed my skills in high school at Hawken School here in Ohio, and then my undergrad at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work, I have a blast making it. Visit my inquire page if you would like to connect!
